SCNP: Half Day Hike to Browns Mountain

The Browns Mountain via Kings Mountain Trail is a delightful 5.0-mile trek that dances along the ridgeline, showcasing a variety of plant life and jaw-dropping views, especially when winter sprinkles its magic! After a quick hour ride in the van, it's time to shake off the travel wiggles and hit the trail. Guided by the awesome Stevens Creek Outdoor Recreation Specialists, we'll spot winter wildlife as we tackle that 1,035-foot summit! We'll keep the snacks coming, but remember, lunch is on you—so pack your favorite grub!
Pre-registration required. Shuttle provided to and from Kings Mountain Military Park, leaving from Stevens Creek Nature Center. The 5-mile trail is considered moderately difficult and should take 2-3 hours to complete based on pace and natural sightings. Bring food and water as desired; additional snacks provided.
This program is for ages 18 and up.
