WWII Event Weekend - Museum of the Waxhaws
Step back into the 1940s during our WWII Living History Weekend at the Museum of the Waxhaws. Experience history brought to life through immersive encampments, hands-on demonstrations, tactical displays, historic exhibits, educational presentations, and more throughout the weekend. Interact with living historians as they share the daily life of soldiers on the home front and the front lines. See authentic equipment, learn how it was used, and gain a deeper understanding of the people and stories that shaped the World War II era. Don’t miss our special Hangar Dance on Saturday evening, where the spirit of the 1940s comes alive with music, dancing, and wartime atmosphere—a perfect way to end the day. This weekend offers a meaningful, educational, and memorable experience for all ages as we honor and preserve the legacy of World War II.
