Threads of the Past at Historic Fort Defiance
For one day only, authentic 19th-century clothing and quilts will be on display at the historic home of Major General William Lenoir. Authentic textiles will be on view via a special guided tour of the home, led by costumed docents.

For one day only, step back into the 19th century as historic textiles take center stage at the home of Major General William Lenoir. Explore what life was like on the frontier through the clothing, quilts, and other textiles used by the people who lived here. Costumed docents will bring these fascinating stories to life on a special tour that offers a rare glimpse into the everyday lives of generations past.
Authentic textiles will be on display by guided tour of the home. Admission to the house is $7/adults and $5/children ages 6-14 years old. All proceeds go to Fort Defiance's continued operations.
