Terminus - Theatre Charlotte
First produced in 2016, Terminus is a haunting and deeply human Southern Gothic drama set in rural Georgia. Eller Freeman and her grandson Jaybo share a fierce, unconventional bond in a weathered house by the railroad tracks. But as Eller’s memory begins to slip and fragments of her past surface, the walls of the old family home seem to echo with buried truths. Past and present intertwine as Jaybo is forced to confront what love demands—and what history refuses to forget. Praised by The New York Times as “heartbreaking” and “brilliant,” this lyrical play blends psychological realism with ghostly imagination, exploring how the past lives on in the present and how the inheritance of history shapes us all.
