What was life like in York County after Emancipation? Join us as we explore this turbulent period of American history.
Activities include a Federal Army encampment, agricultural and cooking demonstrations, and historical interpretation of the Brattonsville Store in 1871.
At 12 p.m., there will be a firing demonstration with 19th century rifles. Special vignettes entitled "A State of Affairs" at 1:30 p.m. and "The Arrest" at 2 p.m. will discuss events of the Reconstruction Era
