Kids Voting NC in Mecklenburg County is a nonpartisan program designed to teach youth about the electoral process and the importance of civic participation. Through a series of engaging and interactive lessons, workshops, and activities, students learn about how elections work, the roles of government, and the impact of voting on their communities. Participants gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to understand the voting process, think critically about issues, and make informed decisions. The program culminates in mock elections where students practice casting ballots on real candidates and issues, providing a hands-on experience that fosters confident, informed, and active future voters.All workshops will be offered both in-person and virtually.
