Whizara’s Introduction to Java programming course introduces students to the fundamentals of syntax-based programming via its fun real world, graphics, animation, and game-based engaging curriculum. Students learn the fundamental programming including variables, user inputs/output, random, conditionals, loops, functions, events, array and more.
The course further reinforces computational concepts of sequencing, pattern recognition, parallelism and algorithmic thinking, and software development process. Students develop a course-end project to showcase their learnings from the course. This course builds the foundation for the Intermediate Java course.
Meeting 1: IDE Introduction and Java programming basics
Meeting 2: Java graphics and variables
Meeting 3: Java animation and user inputs
Meeting 4: More Java graphics and animations and conditionals
Meeting 5: Loops in Java and project
Along the same lines, Whizara provides instructor-led live online coding and math classes and camps for kids ages 5-18. The personalized 1:1 classes and camps, held in small groups, teach math integrated with coding, computational thinking and design thinking, and age-appropriate fun, engaging and immersive coding courses including Scratch Junior, Scratch, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, AI, Mobile App Development and Unity video game development.
The price listed is for classes happening on Saturday each week, over 5 weekends.
