Charlotte’s 2nd Annual Das Best Oktoberfest…the theme is Oompah, Oompah, Oompah! Hundreds of ALL-YOU-CARE-TO-TASTE sampling of Craft Beer, Wine, Ciders and Schnapps will fill up your Souvenir Glass as you enjoy this day-long festival in beautiful Ballantyne’s Backyard. All of your favorite craft beers and perfectly paired wines will be served to highlight the great Beer Hall theme. Oompah Bands and Live music abound! Roll out the barrel. Authentic oompah and polka bands will keep you moving along with great live music from your favorite regional bands. Fun contests and much more!
Wear your Dirndls and Lederhosens and enjoy beer games & great contests! Cornhole, Masskrugstemmen (Beer Stein Holding Competition) and Fingerhakeln (Finger Wrestling Competition)! All contests will take place on the Oompah Stage. Prize $$ available for some contests.
New this year…Kidstoberfest…that’s right, bring your kids along if you want. We aren’t babysitters, but this will at least keep the kiddos occupied. Bouncy houses, face painters, pretzel necklaces, pumpkin decorating and more! Also new – 4 player Tug-of-War or otherwise known as Tauziehen. Get your team of 4 together! And…Carry-Your-Wife Obstacle Course Race – you can carry your wife, your husband or partner – you just have to make your way through the obstacles in the best time to be the Welmeister and win your partner’s weight in Beer!
