Spend your afternoon immersed in the joy of dance! Join Charlotte Ballet faculty and teaching artists through free dance classes, and pop into the studios to catch a live performance by Charlotte Ballet’s professional company. All classes and rehearsals are free, open to the public, and perfect for general audiences.

Spend your afternoon immersed in the joy of dance! Join Charlotte Ballet faculty and teaching artists through free classes in ballet, Afro-Brazilian, hip hop, tap, and jazz, and pop into the studios to catch a live performance by Charlotte Ballet’s professional company. All classes and rehearsals are free, open to the public, and perfect for general audiences.
Includes the following classes:
1 – 1:30 PM: Children’s Movement (recommended for participants ages 3 – 6)
1:30 – 2 PM: Welcome to Tap (recommended for ages 6 – Adult, Tap Shoes optional)
1-1:45 PM: Jazz Fusion (recommended for ages 12-18)
2 – 2:45 PM: Charlotte Ballet II Performance
3 – 3:45 PM: Adult Fundamentals of Ballet (recommended for participants age 14 and older)
3-3:45 PM: Introduction to Hip Hop (recommended for participants age 13 and older)
4 – 4:45 PM: Broadway Dancer’s Warmup (recommended for participants age 14 and older)
4-4:45 PM: Fundamentals of Afro-Brazilian (recommended for participants ages 7-Adult)
