Visit The Raptor Trail

The Raptor Trail is a three-quarter mile walking trail and zoological facility that permanently houses and displays more than thirty birds of prey. The birds act as ambassadors for their wild counterparts and serve an important role in connecting people with wildlife in a safe and respectful manner. Guests can enjoy learning about birds of prey from across the globe during their walk on the Raptor Trail.

The Raptor Trail is open daily March - October and Wednesday - Sunday November - February
Morning Session: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Closed for Lunch & Cleaning: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
Afternoon Session: 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Free – Children 3 and Under and Members
- Show your EBT card at the front desk to receive four free tickets to visit CRC. Limit, one set of free tickets per group. Available on-site only.
- You are not able to bring pets along the Raptor Trail. See here for more information about service animals.

- Closed: Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day
- Guests are not required to arrive immediately at the start of their ticketing session. From 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM ticketing, the gift shop, and restrooms are closed. Guests who are admitted prior to 12:30 PM are welcome to continue to explore the Raptor Trail between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM. The Raptor Trail closes at 4:00 PM and guests are encouraged to arrive by 3:00 PM to ensure time to explore.
- Tickets are non-refundable but may be rescheduled. To reschedule your tickets, please contact ndegrant@carolinaraptorcenter.org.
Keeper Chats
- Join a CRC staff person to learn more about raptors and birds!
- Keeper Chats are offered as long as staff are available. Staff availability is impacted by weather, animal needs, construction, illness, etc. You are welcome to call CRC's main number to confirm that a Keeper Chat will take place during your visit.
- Sundays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.
The medical facility can accept new raptor patients between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily. Please call 704-875-6521 x 125 before bringing raptors to the medical facility.
