Launch yourself behind the scenes of the first Moon landing during this limited-run exhibition at Discovery Place Science. Featuring interactive and immersive experiences for learners of all ages, visitors will feel the rumble of a rocket launch, board a Lunar Rover and leave their footprints on the Moon! Entrance to the exhibition is included in Discovery Place Science General Admission. Reservations must be made online in advance at discoveryplace.org.

    Grab a front row seat to the historic moment that took the first astronauts to the Moon—complete with immersive rumbling audio and video that puts you in the passenger seat.
  • "The beep heard round the world."
    A true-to-scale model of Sputnik 1—you might be surprised by its size! Get a close up look of intricate models of satellites, spacecrafts and rockets.
  • Apollo Era Artifacts
    Gain a deeper understanding of the context in which the Space Race began with actual newspapers, magazines and letters that document this turbulent, yet inspiring, time in America's history. Learn about non-human space explorers and view gloves, bubble helmets, visors and moon boots worn by Apollo astronauts.
  • Explore the Moon
    Seize the opportunity to touch a lunar meteorite, leave your (virtual) footprints on the Moon and take a Moon selfie atop a full-size Apollo 15 Lunar Rover model! Share your experience by tagging #DiscoverApollo
